Our Mission
Women in CEA is a growing global network of women working across the entire Controlled Environment Agriculture landscape—from operators and researchers to technologists and entrepreneurs. We’re building a space where women can connect, collaborate, and lead—because when women support each other, the whole industry becomes stronger.
Our Purpose
WiCEA is creating an inclusive, future-facing platform for knowledge exchange and industry advancement. In-person meetups are facilitated at major trade shows and conferences to strengthen connections and collaboration across the global CEA sector.
Our Story
Women in CEA began organically when a small group of us working in the CEA startup space—often surrounded by mostly male teams—started connecting through informal catch-up calls. What began as sharing day-to-day challenges and wins quickly grew into a supportive monthly meetup with an expanding network of women across the industry.
Today, Women in CEA hosts biweekly themed sessions ranging from Science Club to goal-setting workshops, along with in-person meetups at major industry conferences and trade shows. What started as a few conversations has grown into a vibrant community built on connection, collaboration, and shared growth.
